Upon landing at Colombo Airport, proceed through immigration. Next is the duty-free shopping area, if you’re interested in purchasing duty-free items, shop staff will assist and brief you on special offers and allowances. If you have checked-in baggage proceed to baggage claim area and collect it. Clear Sri Lanka Customs via the Green Channel. Our staff will be waiting to warmly welcome you and then transfer to a popular beachfront stay in Negombo. Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Negombo, known for its diverse dining, shopping, and entertainment options. At your accommodation, enjoy a relaxing overnight stay with dinner. The evening is yours to unwind and explore the surroundings.
Today we need to start our journey very early to make the maximum use of daytime available for our explorations. Check-out from hotel for a 05:15 AM departure. Enroute we will briefly stop at Canowin Arcade for cup of tea or coffee. We expect to reach the Udawalawe national park around 09:30AM. for a 4X4 wildlife safari. Led by experienced guides, you’ll spot a thriving elephant population, along with buffalo, wild boar, deer, and various bird species. After the wildlife experience, we proceed to the tourist hotspot of Ella. After a late lunch, we will switch to Tuk-Tuks to discover the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, an emblem of railway engineering. Finally, the Tuk-Tuks will drop us at the footsteps of Little Adam’s Peak to make our hike easy to the summit with its promising panoramic views at sunset or sunrise. Then we will check-in to our hotel to refresh and set out to explore the Lazy ambience of Ella Town and dine at a popular restaurant. We will conclude the day by returning to our hotel for dinner, an overnight stay.
Once again, we set out early to beat the sun’s heat during our hike in the Horton Plains. Check out from hotel for 06:00 AM departure. Enroute to Nuwara Eliya we will visit the Horton Plains National Park a part of UNESCO World Heritage Central Highlands of Sri Lanka is home to diverse ecosystems, from montane grasslands to cloud forests, at elevations of 2,100 to 2,300 metres, is home to 52 endemic bird species and various wildlife, features landmarks like World’s End and Baker’s Falls. Our next stop is to explore Hakgala Botanical Gardens, followed by a photo stop at Sita Amman Temple. After reaching Nuwara Eliya we will have a late lunch at the city restaurant and check in to our hotel in Nuwara Eliya, after a short rest and refreshing we will explore the colonial era attractions with photo stops, of Nuwara Eliya known as Little England. Finally, a visit to Gregory Lake Park conclude the day’s activities. We will return to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we check out for 08:30 AM departure. Our first stop is at the Labookellie Tea Center for refreshments. Along the way, we will stop at the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple in Ramboda. Next, we will visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, founded in 1821 with a history dating back to 1371. Which house the “National Herbarium of Sri Lanka.” After the visit we will reach Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we check in to our Kandy hotel for lunch and a brief respite. The evening features the Kandy Lake Club Cultural Dance Show, offering a captivating glimpse into Sri Lanka’s traditional dance forms. We will then visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. housing a revered Buddha’s tooth. We will end our days activities by visiting the Kandy City Viewpoint, also called Arthur’s Seat, standing at 550 metres, unveiling a captivating panorama of Kandy, the lake, and the Temple of the Tooth. The day concludes with a return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel for a 09:00 AM departure. Our first stop for the day is to visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It is the world’s first elephant orphanage established in 1975 as a pioneering wildlife conservation project. Enjoy lunch at the scenic Pinnawala Restaurant overlooking the elephant bath. From Pinnawala we proceed towards Colombo to explore the vibrant city and its attractions. Our city tour of Colombo will be mostly drive-pass photo stop tour starting with walk along the Main Street, a photo stop at the Red Mosque, then we continue to Presidential Secretariate, Seema Malaka, Town Hall, Viharamahadevi Park, National Museum and the Independence square, followed by the Lotus Tower. We will visit the Galle Face Green for Sunset views before venturing in to the One Galle Face shopping mall. Will stop at the Dutch Hospital Precinct for dinner with many dinning options including the Ministry of Crab and the German Pub. We will conclude the days tour by checking into our hotel in Negombo for an overnight say.
